Most RecommendedCONTENT TOOLS YOU NEED AT EVERY STAGE
Welcome to my Resources page, a carefully selected list of content tools and resources I recommend for content marketing beginners.
I’ve tested every recommendation on this page. I currently use many of these content tools to market the CMS business (or I used them in the past to get CMS to where it is today).
Before diving into the content tools I know and trust, I want you to know:
Some of the links on this page are affiliate links, which means that if you choose to make a purchase, I’ll earn a commission. This commission comes at no additional cost to you. I have direct experience with all of these companies and products, and I recommend them because they’re useful and appropriate, not because of any commissions I make if you decide to buy something. Please don’t spend any money on these products unless you feel you need them or that they’ll help you achieve your goals.
Top hosting service for websites
A self-hosted WordPress website with a blog is one of the most essential content tools you must establish. To do that, you need a hosting service you can count on.
I use Bluehost to host the Content Marketing Startup site (plus several other content-driven sites) and have always been satisfied.
Their one-click automatic WordPress installation makes it really easy to get a new site started without knowing much about technology. Bluehost is reliable, affordable and offers great customer support if you need it. Your Bluehost account can even handle multiple domains, so when you’re ready to start another business there’s no need to pay more for hosting another website!
I highly recommend using Bluehost for your website.
Top theme for WordPress websites
A theme is a toolkit you use to build the design of your website. Divi is one of the best available.
I use Divi for this website (and other content-driven sites). It’s one of the most capable and flexible themes I’ve ever used. Its Visual Builder is particularly helpful because it shows you exactly what your site will look like as you make changes.
I highly recommend Divi for your site theme.
Top email system for bloggers
Connecting with your audience via email is an important part of content marketing.
ConnectKit provides easy ways to build and manage your lists, automate email responses to site visitors, support your blog and engage with your audience. Segmenting lists is also incredibly straight-forward. They have a 30-day refund policy, so you can check it out without risk.
I highly recommend ConnectKit for your email system.
